Hulk remains non-committal about Porto future

FC Porto star Hulk claims that he is uncertain whether his future lies with the club and said that only his agent could say for sure if he was going to move in the January window.

The Selecao International has been in the centre of a long-running transfer saga between Paris Saint-Germain and Chelsea for the last few months. The Parisians, who have become a dominant force in Europe following their take-over by the Qatari Investment Authority, are allegedly targeting Hulk as the latest big-money arrival at Parc des Princes.

Having bought the likes of Javier Pastore in the summer, Carlo Ancelotti’s men are keen to strengthen their squad even further and see the Brazilian as an ideal choice to lead the line at the helm.

Chelsea’s inconsistency in attack has prompted Andre Villas-Boas to scour his former club for potential targets and the Portuguese tactician has made up his mind on Alvaro Pereira and Hulk. While Pereira has been ruled out for a move, the striker is up for sale if a team can match Porto’s asking price.

The Portistas demand nothing less than €100 million for their prized asset but are open to the possibility of a switch this winter. With both top sides on his trail, a move is highly likely to arise for the former Tokyo Verdy man; however he claims that he does not know where his future lies.

Speaking to reporters, the forward said that he was uncertain about his future at Estadio do Dragao but added that his representative knew more about the matter and could shed some light on it.

“I do not know [if I will leave in January]. I will let my agent answer that question,” Hulk said after leading Porto to a goalless draw against Sporting Lisbon in the Primeira Liga.

In recent weeks, Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich has expressed an interest in acquiring the mercurial front-man, while Ancelotti is also eager to sign him. With both teams also boasting the necessary financial muscle to land the former Kawasaki Frontale man, there is a high chance that Hulk could end up in either France or England this winter.
